We met in a philosophy class our freshman year at UR and bonded over indie music and our shared scholarship. Soon, we were co-hosting a college radio show together, and since then, Sam's fantastic baked goods, favorite albums, and our chatty walks have been a happy fixture of my life.

We met as hallmates freshman year of college, where we spent most of our Red Bull fueled "study nights" talking and drawing up schemes on the white board until we fell asleep, or drove to Cookout. Sitting in the car or on the floor talking about life always feels like home.

Since we met as middle schoolers, Emily and I have embarked on more memorable, slightly terrifying adventures than I can count, from hitchiking in Turkey to paragliding in North Macedonia, and laughing so hard we cried in between.
